Woes of a student

I hate that I'm counting down the days until I get paid and I have money that I can spend, because the wait between Christmas and January wages is years apart. I don't like to rely on money to be able to do things or go places but it helps. My student loan and grant should be in my bank by Monday hopefully but you never know with student finance, they're not always reliable.
Got so many things to pay and sort out in the next week or so, hello stress.

  • Rent needs to be paid
  • Bills need to be paid for December and January
  • Need some more shoes cause mine have gone holey
  • Waterproof trousers are needed for field trips due to living in Wales aha
  • Work out my budget up until next payment in April
  • Food shops
  • Anything for the house
Definitely need to get a permanent job in Bangor if possible, it would be so much easier.

In other news, I have actually had a very positive day today. Got up early, revised then watched the second part of The Polar Bear Family & Me which I was awwing at and just found so amazing! Then back to revision and had a lovely satisfying dinner which was the smallest I have ever had and didn't feel hungry after! Win! Updated my ipod with some sassy music which I was in the mood to listen to on my walk and typically none of them played, but my walk was so good. And now I'm listening to the music that I put on my ipod earlier and I feel so good! I feel like I could dress up and feel nice and comfortable but I'll just revise and be happy.

This will be my last update for a week or so as I head back to university Friday until Wednesday for exams before I'm home for 10 days.
Hope you have a wonderful few days and a good weekend, and I shall post again soon.

Aspirations

For this year I decided that I would make a list of things that I would like to achieve and do. I think the reason I decided to do this was because I shall be 21 September and I wanted to see how much I actually did in the year. Some of the things I have wanted to do before but I didn't stick to it or manage to do.
So the list goes something like this:
  • Find complete happiness with myself
  • Communicate better with others
  • Drop a dress size at least for my 21st by August/September
  • Continue to improve my grades at university
  • Get a permanent job
  • Improve my fitness
  • Go on a mini break to the Lake district
  • Save enough money for a trip to Disneyland Paris or Orlando
  • Organise my money better
  • Say no to chocolate, sweets, ice cream, take-aways more!
They aren't in a particular order of importance but it's how they came to mind. I hope to cover at least half of these by the end of the year. Now to get on with them.

Out with the old, in with the new

So it's a week into 2013 and after trying to start one of these several times and giving up, I have decided that I shall actually start one and keep it going. I shall try to post about life away at university, starting and keeping up a healthy lifestyle and occasionally venting opinions on various topics that crop up in day to day life.
I shall try to keep this as up dated as I can though I can't guarantee when I will be able to post once I am back at university. I am still to sort this out properly but I have revision to do for exams in a weeks time, once they are out of the way I will organise this better.

In the mean time have a fun start to the year and keep any resolutions going because anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
